The External Auditors- PKF Littlejohn LLP have completed their review of the AGAR for year ending 31 March 2019. A copy of their report, along with Sec 1 & 2 and the Notice of Conclusion of Audit can be found on the Parish Council Noticeboard and on the Annual Return 2018-2019 page

Each year the smaller authority’s Annual Governance
and Accountability Return (AGAR) needs to be reviewed by an external auditor
appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd. The unaudited AGAR has been published with
this notice. As it has yet to be reviewed by the appointed auditor, it is
subject to change as a result of that review.
Any person interested has the right to inspect and
make copies of the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit
relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other
documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by
any person interested. For the year ended 31 March 2019, these documents will
be available on reasonable notice by application to:

John Henry Group, on behalf of Gigaclear, are carrying out major telecom ducting works in the area and as part of this will be requiring a combination of traffic signals and road closures.

Covering Raunds, Thrapston, Rushden & close surrounding areas
The canvassers are recruiting new members to join the weekly Air Ambulance Lottery.
They will not be collecting any cash or taking any donations whatsoever, the new members they sign up agree to play/join via Direct Debit or cheque.
The canvassers are dressed in hi-visibility jackets with Air Ambulance displayed front and back or grey fleeces displaying Air Ambulance on the front left breast or yellow polo shirts with Air Ambulance displayed both front and back and carry picture ID cards.
The canvassers usually operate Monday – Friday between the hours of 10am and 8pm and occasionally at weekends.
Further clarification can be obtained by calling the Air Ambulance Lottery office on
0844 567 0844 during normal office hours.
Please let the Council know if you are in favour of refurbishing the Recreation Ground.
This consultation forms part of our application to ENC for the Communities Facilities Fund and without a good response our application will fail.
There is a 25% match funding for this award so watch out for fundraisers to raise this money which will need your support. A quiz night is planned in September and if you have any ideas that will help the Council raise the 25% required, please let me know.

The Phone Box renovations have been compeleted and the Defibrillator has been installed. The Cabinet is locked for security but if you need to use it, just ring 999 for the ambulance and they will be able to instruct you further.
The Defibrillator is inspected weekly as part of the village checks to ensure all is in order but if you notice any problem with it please contact either the Clerk (07756 85102) or Cllr Bob Lymn (01832 730119).
If you have had cause to use the Defibrillator, please let the Clerk know as soon as possible so that new pads can be put on the machine ready for use again.
